This route serves as a crucial freight corridor for direct shipments from Chongqing to key core cities in Eastern North America, operated by B777F freighters with three weekly scheduled flights, ensuring ample capacity and stable transit times. It establishes an efficient air bridge for two-way trade between China and Canada. The route features clear cargo positioning in both directions, with complementary advantages that precisely align with industrial development and consumer demand.

The outbound route primarily serves cross-border e-commerce parcel shipments, leveraging the advantage of direct flights from Chongqing to Toronto to eliminate transshipment links and significantly reduce logistics time. This precisely meets the stringent supply chain efficiency requirements of cross-border e-commerce, effectively lowering the cross-border transportation and warehousing costs for southwestern foreign trade enterprises and supporting the local cross-border e-commerce industry in expanding into the North American market. The return leg focuses on transporting fresh produce such as Canadian blueberries, utilizing direct overseas origin sourcing and dedicated full cargo aircraft models to establish a fast westbound channel for North American fresh produce entering China. This enables domestic consumers to conveniently enjoy high-quality cross-border fresh products, enriching consumption scenarios.

In terms of network layout, the new route will be deeply integrated with the routes of China Eastern Airlines Logistics in Chongqing, enhancing the coordinated and globally radiating logistics system among Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Chongqing. Leveraging the mature truck transshipment network in Toronto, goods can reach major Canadian cities within 16 hours and cover core U.S. cities within 26 hours, significantly boosting the logistics radiation capacity of Southwest China to North America. Meanwhile, relying on China Eastern Airlines' cold chain resources, the route further facilitates the air corridor for fresh produce from North America to western China, continuously optimizing the one-stop express delivery system from overseas sources to domestic terminals.

The launch of this route has addressed Chongqing's logistics gap in connecting with North America, solidified its position as an inland international logistics hub, and will continue to empower the Chengdu-Chongqing region in opening up to the outside world, upgrading cross-border industries, and improving quality of life for residents.
