Jiaxing Nanhu Airport officially launches its first international cargo route, marking a new era in

At 11:10 on May 28, 2026, the Yuantong Airlines freighter "Jiaxing," a B767-300F, took off from Jiaxing Nanhu Airport bound for Dhaka Airport in Bangladesh. The smooth departure of this flight marked the official launch of the first international cargo route from Nanhu Airport, ushering the airport into a new phase of international cargo operations.

The maiden voyage carried 50 tons of cargo, primarily transporting electronic products from leading enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region, further expanding and densifying the international freight shipping network.

In addition to the Jiaxing-Dhaka route, the airport will launch 19 new international cargo routes within the year, bringing the total number of international cargo routes to 20. These routes will cover 9 in Asia, 6 in Europe, and 5 in the Americas, initially forming an international cargo network that "radiates into Asia and connects Europe and America.".

As the first specialized air cargo hub in the Yangtze River Delta, Jiaxing Nanhu Airport boasts advanced international cargo terminal facilities, a mature port supervision system, and efficient air-land intermodal connections, enabling rapid cargo consolidation, inspection, and clearance to help enterprises reduce costs and enhance efficiency. Meanwhile, the airport has strengthened airport coordination and established remote cargo terminals, extending port services to industrial hinterlands to continuously improve regional trade facilitation.

Since its operation began on December 26, 2025, Jiaxing Nanhu Airport has not only optimized the passenger transport network but also efficiently advanced key tasks such as port opening, cargo facility construction, airline recruitment, and route planning, solidifying the foundation for air cargo development.

In the future, the airport will take the opening of its first international freight route as a new starting point, continuously improving logistics infrastructure, optimizing customs clearance services, expanding the comprehensive bonded zone, and clustering air-connected industries.
