On May 19, the dedicated "Ultra-Fresh Express" air route between Dalian, Yantai, and Nanjing officially commenced operations, establishing an efficient dedicated air corridor for transporting fresh cherries and other fruits between Liaoning and Shandong, ensuring comprehensive support for the delivery of specialty cherry shipments.

This fresh produce dedicated flight operates one daily service year-round, precisely aligning with the cherry harvest and market launch schedules. Initially utilizing Boeing 737-800F freighters for the route, it will switch to the 25-ton-capacity Boeing 757-200F model by June during the peak cherry production and sales season to further enhance air cargo capacity.
Compared to previous routes, this flight will now stopover at Yantai, allowing cargo flights to reach the core cherry production area directly. Farmers can quickly load freshly picked and pre-cooled cherries nearby, significantly reducing the transit time from "tree to cabin" and preserving the fruit's original flavor to the greatest extent.
A comprehensive express delivery guarantee system has been implemented simultaneously. With the dedicated postal aviation route at its core, Yantai Postal Service integrates civil aviation capacity, establishes direct cold chain routes, and deploys over 500 high-standard refrigerated transport vehicles, achieving an average daily land transport capacity of over 500 tons. All refrigerated vehicles are equipped with temperature monitoring devices for intelligent tracking of the transportation environment, ensuring the freshness of cherries. Additionally, the local area has established over 1,000 exclusive cherry collection and delivery points, complete with professional packaging, ice packs, and trained staff. This allows farmers and e-commerce businesses to easily ship cherries without leaving their town, enabling high-quality cherries to efficiently reach markets across the country.
